Should a councilmen have to live in the same district he/she represents?
i think that the person who represents a district should live in the same location that he or she represents. they may know more people, like have a better, closer relationship with with more people. Also they may know what the people think about what is good or changes that need to be made. for example people know more about the town they live in verse people that come and visit.
I agree with you that the person who represents a district should live in that district. It not only gives the representaive an advantage but it also give the people in the district a way to get to know more about their representative.
ReplyDeletekori what do you mean it would give the representative and advantage? but Jill I also agree with you opinion. A councilman in a district would know more about the needs of the county and therefore would better be able to work towards and represent the needs of the people.
ReplyDeletei agree with you Jill. i think that the representative should live in the district they represent because it helps them stay connected with the people and staying connected helps make better choices that will affect their district for the better.
